For this project, my team is making a Harry Potter-themed virtual reality scene. The scene is set in Dumbledore's office, where the player can pick up horcruxes from a desk and interact with Dumbledore's pet phoenix named Fawkes.
I am responsible for modeling Fawkes and the stand she sits upon. I also help with some of the environmental props that sit on the desk, including the quill and inkwell, the book holder, and the dragon statue. This week, I created a high-resolution sculpt in ZBrush to bake onto the game-resolution model of Fawkes in Substance Painter. I improved on the previous color pass for the textures and then imported them into the material in Unreal. Here are my renders:
